The royal seaside town: calm beaches, golf and space, three hours from Bangkok.
Hua Hin has been Bangkok’s seaside retreat since the royal family built Klai Kangwon Palace here in the 1920s, and it has kept its calm. The beaches are long and gentle, the golf courses — Black Mountain, Banyan and more — are among the country’s best, and villas come with real gardens. A new motorway from Bangkok is being built to shorten the drive.
