Natai’s quiet villas, Khao Lak’s long beaches and the limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay, north of Phuket.
Phang Nga is the mainland coast north of Phuket, and the quieter way to live on the Andaman. Natai, a short drive over the bridge from Phuket, has a long, empty beach lined with large private villas, about 30 minutes from the airport. Further north, Khao Lak’s beaches at Nang Thong, Bang Niang and Khuk Khak run for about 25 km beneath the forest of Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park, and it is the base for trips to the Similan Islands. To the east, the limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay and the Koh Yao islands sit in calm water.
