Limestone cliffs, warm Andaman water and pool villas in the green valleys behind Ao Nang.
Krabi is the Andaman coast’s quieter answer to Phuket. Limestone cliffs rise straight from the sea at Railay and Phra Nang, and the islands of Phi Phi, Hong and Lanta sit offshore. Ao Nang is a small resort town rather than a strip of towers, and most second homes are pool villas in the valleys behind it, around Nong Thale and Klong Muang. Koh Lanta, to the south, suits people who want island life at a slower pace. Krabi International Airport has direct flights from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and in season from Helsinki and Copenhagen.
