A working province on the road to Khao Yai, with the Buddha’s footprint shrine and the green Muak Lek hills.
Saraburi sits where the central plain meets the Dong Phaya Yen hills, 108 km north-east of Bangkok. It is a working province: Kaeng Khoi makes around 70% of Thailand’s cement, and Muak Lek, in the east, has been the home of Thai dairy farming since the Thai-Danish farm opened in 1962. Most homes for sale are townhouses and family houses in and around Saraburi town and Nong Khae, with family houses asking a median of about ฿2.6M. Muak Lek is the province’s green side, with waterfalls, dairy farms and the southern edge of Khao Yai National Park.
