Chaiyaphum, the ‘land of victory’, sits where the Khorat Plateau rises into the Phetchabun hills, and almost a third of the province is forest. Its national parks are the draw: from June to August Pa Hin Ngam and Sai Thong turn pink with Siam tulips, and Mo Hin Khao’s sandstone pillars stand in Phu Laenkha National Park. The capital itself is small and friendly, proud of its founder Chao Pho Phraya Lae, and visitor numbers rose by about 36% in 2024.
