Floating markets and dragon jars on the Mae Klong plain, and green Suan Phueng hills on the Myanmar border.
Ratchaburi spans two landscapes. In the east, the Mae Klong River and its canals water a flat plain where Damnoen Saduak’s floating market grew up along a canal dug in the 1860s. In the west, the limestone Tenasserim Hills, full of caves, climb to the Myanmar border, where Suan Phueng has hot springs, farms and Karen villages. Ratchaburi town, famous for its glazed dragon jars, has a large regional hospital. Most homes for sale are townhouses and family houses around the town and Ban Pong, typically ฿1.85M–3.8M.
